Dorothy Parker once said: "There's a hell of a distance between wisecracking and wit. Wit has truth in it; wisecracking is simply calisthenics with words."

R is for REPRODUCTION
With spring comes time for REPRODUCTION and early morning tweets and twitters. A few days ago I watched out the kitchen window as mama bird pulled cat fur out of the old scratching post. The babies seem peaceful in the nest. Just hope they fly fast and far before the cats get even!
I was just telling my husband the other day that ounce-for-ounce, I'm pretty sure there's nothing noisier in the animal kingdom than birds. Most of the time I'm a big fan of their twittering and tweeting--at daybreak, though, I'm not always that excited. ;)

I love birds in the yard! We have a nest on the patio now. I can't wait to hear babies chirping!
