On Saturday May 3rd we enjoyed An Afternoon of Tea and Historical Fashions at the Grace Episcopal Church in Martinez. We polished off three tiers of Scones, finger sandwiches, petit fours, and chocolate coated strawberries accompanied by Earl Green Tea. Mrs. Maxine Welty narrated the parade of historical fashions from the Middle Ages through the Twentieth Century (and a glimpse into the future). The gowns were all from her exclusive collection developed after years of research.
