The Culinary Arts students at Contra Costa College presented the Red Hat Society with a three course luncheon fit for queens today at 3 Seasons Cafe. Our hostess, Rose of CCC, did a wonderful job of gathering more than 80 red hatters from several bay area chapters. Even the table cloths were our favorite shade of purple. We wondered if they painted the walls red just for us.

Watch for our pictures in the Contra Costa Times. We had a real sweety, cute photographer coaxing big smiles out of us so there's sure to be some winners.

Speaking of winners... One of our own Molls held a winning raffle ticket. She won the shirt and a hat box full of goodies. (Notice also her red hat cat mascot by her left elbow...there is at least one moll who is envious)

Oh no...one of the Molls escaped. She made it all the way to Georgia. Here she is, caught right smack in the middle of her shinanagins.

Below is a picture of the RHS Molls who attended the Bay Meadows day at the races. Well, in all truth the only Molls attending were the two in the back, Queen Margie and Princess Jeanette. We shared our table with Sharlee from Benicia and Bobbie from Cupertino. It was a great day. The Turf Club buffet was fantastic.

The betting was.... well let's just say that the Molls came out ahead. The Queen was just a bit miffed when in the 7th race her bet on the 4th horse was disqualified. It seems that Jaybo preferred to run the race without his jockey. Assured that the jockey was okay after his big heave ho, we gave old Jaybo big red hat cheers as he made his jaunt around the track and came in 2nd. Not bad for a longshot.
