Several of the Molls are now well versed on Taking Tea in the English Manner thanks to Jeanette and Kathy for arranging our lessons today with Susan Leech at Orinda Village Antiques. The day was delightful complete with the charming atmosphere, delicious food, a well taught lesson and of course the Moll friendships. How to brew that perfect pot of tea? Fill the kettle with fresh cold water and heat to a rolling boil. Warm the teapot by swirling hot water inside the teapot, then pour it out. Add to the empty teapot 1 teaspoon loose tea per cup. Pour the water from the kettle over the leaves, cover and brew to taste, about 3 to 5 minutes. Use strainer for the leaves and pour into a cup and enjoy! Oh but there is so much more to learn. Check it out! The Queen of the RHS Molls has spoken. |
