Red Hat Molls

Last Tuesday the RHS Molls were going to have a cookie exchange. However, the Queen and Hostess made the executive decision not to exchange cookies since there seems to be so many flu bugs running around.

Our Hostess did a wonderful job baking batches and batches of cookes to serve with her many varieties of tea and coffee. Not only that, she presented gifts to each red hatter! She also shared with us her collection of dolls and vintage purses.

I am sorry that I neglected to bring my camera. Gosh, that's twice in a row the Queen screwed up the picture taking routine. I'm sure when the holidays are over I'll get back into being the Queen that you all deserve.

A BIG THANKS goes to Lorraine for hosting the event.

May your Holidays be Merry. Keep those Red Hats ready for the new year.

The RHS Molls enjoyed tea, company, and touring at the Garratt Mansion in Alameda this afternoon. Our Hostess, Betty, served her homemade goodies. Michelle (Queen Mother of the Alameda Red Hats) explained the three teas that we enjoyed, Holiday Tea, Earl Grey and lavender.

The mansion was decorated up for the holidays and we got a chance to tour most of the rooms. This definitely looks like a bed and breakfast place that needs to have a Red Hat Pajama Party someday!

Queen Mum passed out a grab bag full of purple items, each under $2 and carefully selected at Target. There was a bit of laughter during the opening of these gifts which included everything from deodorant to Sexy underwear.

Raucous laughter roared throughout the room as Queen Mary recited "When I am Old I'll Live With My kids" and Vonne Anne shared a new version of the "Twelve Days of Christmas".

Unfortunately, the batteries on the digital camera died after the first picture which is shown below. If anyone has other pictures to share, please feel free to forward them to me so we can share them here.

Much thanks goes to Vonne Anne for organizing this fun day.
