The day was a big success. Five of us crammed into the Queens Saturn at Lafayette Bart to make the trip to Santa Rosa. Although cramped, all were in good spirits and ready for the adventure.

First stop - lunch at Brasserie de la mer where we joined two Red Hatters from Petaluma for a superb assortment of soup, salads, fish & chips, pasta and salmon. Other diners may have been slightly distracted but some were brave enough to approach our group the usual questions.

The guard at the Schultz Museum commented on our arrival, "looks like trouble is coming." In spite of her curious warning, we all behaved and enjoyed the tour.

We stepped through the muddy lawn for a quick picture with Charlie Brown before we departed.

Stay tuned for the next event.

We still have not selected a place to eat on our January 18th trip to Santa Rosa. If you have time, check out the restaurants at Railroad Square. It looks like a good stop on our adventure for eating and perhaps some shopping.

Of course, our main focus for this event is the Charles Schultz Museum.

Our last two adventures were great fun.

In October we went to the Jelly Belly Factory to stock up on treats for Halloween.

And in November we took Amtrak to Old Town Sacramento for lunch and shopping for Red Hats.

Please join us for our next event on January 18th to the Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa

Oops - I just found out that the Tea Room Cafe is kind of a "serve yourself" place. Looking for a more suitable location so it may turn out to be lunch, not tea. Oh well, we are red hatters and we can adapt!!!!

Ladies,

Time to dust off your hats for the new year. We are planning our next event for Saturday, January 18th, 2003.
The agenda is to have tea in Petaluma after which you will have a choice, provided your car pool all agrees - you can either go shopping in Petaluma or continue on to the Charles Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa.

Here's the plan (you can join in at any point):

Leave Lafayette Bart promptly at 10 a.m.
Drive to Petaluma (about an hour)
11:30 tea or lunch in Petaluma? (with some Petaluma Red Hatters)
12:30 drive to Santa Rosa (about 20 minutes)
1:00 p m visit the Schultz Museum
Drive back to Lafayette Bart

Please email me asap if you are interested in joining the group for this event so I can call for tea reservations.
